The NEBC Leaf
With more than 90 million Americans affected by obesity, the Northeast Bariatric Center at Hazleton General Hospital is taking steps to create awareness of this disease, as well as providing comfortable accommodations at its acute-care facilities. This leaf symbol, which is placed on select furniture, bathroom doors, and equipment throughout the hospital and Hazleton Health & Wellness Center (Hazleton General Hospital’s outpatient center) indicates safe and comfortable accommodations to support above average weight up to 450 pounds. The leaf symbol is verification that we are compassionate about the well-being of our patients and visitors.
